Pray for Haiti

If you've been following the news, you've heard about the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

The level of suffering going on in that small country is beyond imagining. My heart aches for these people.

There are no words.

Chris and Leslie Rollings, with Clean Water for Haiti, live and work near Port au Prince. Thankfully, their home was not damaged. But Chris was in the city when the earthquake hit and witnessed first hand the horror of buildings collapsing around him, trapping people inside.

He and Leslie are doing what they can to assist in rescue efforts and provide clean water for the survivors. They share about their work and how to get involved on their blog.

I also read this morning that Compassion International sponsors around 65,000 Haitian children. A third of these live in the area affected by the earthquake. Many of these children are feared dead or orphaned. Compassion has started a Haiti Disaster Relief Fund to provide for the immediate needs of these children. You can find out more about it at www.compassion.com.

Please join me in praying for the people in Haiti.

I've been to Haiti and the effect of the quake on those poor people greatly affected me. I couldn't hear or watch the news without tears in my eyes. I've been praying and will continue.

Hi, Angela!

I've been scrolling down through your posts, getting a taste of your writing and interests. And of course ending, or starting, with this one, which reflects your heart for Haiti.

Yes, I will pray/am praying with you for them. Thank you for inviting both new and long-time readers to join you.

I want to be among those who welcome you to HighCallingBlogs and look forward to getting more acquainted as we overlap here and there in the network and at HighCallingBlogs.com.

Take good care,
Ann Kroeker (content editor, "family," HighCallingBlogs.com)

It is heart-breaking...we were talking about it this morning with the kids and Jojo told me he was very sad about the people dying. Micah's class is praying for them at school, too...it's a good opportunity to pray with our kids for those in need!
